Captain Beyond’s Quadraphonic Wormhole

SACD2DVD-A resurrected

  1. Captain Beyond, Sacd2dvda, R.I.P. Captain Beyond passed away April 2022 (it is explained on the site).
Since then all the albums and corresponding torrent trackers to download have no source, no seed. It is useless if someone wants to get the albums on the list. It is a little bit useful if someone wants some information about the artists and their albums, and the capable opinion of the captain himself. Same for sacd2dvd-a resurrected. (strange nickname by the way: “blogs are like chickens, really”. can someone tell me what that means ?).
No source for all the albums presented on the site, you can turn blue before that would happen. What’s the point of showing albums, let a torrent tracker “downloadable” and give hope to the one who tried that he will get his wanted treasure ? Why not erase the albums, erase the function of torrent tracker download ? That would be healthier and that saves then a lot of precious time and energy to whom may concerns, and to the planet for a waste of resources. somehow its like being in a supermarket watching the goods within your reach and not being able to get it cause you have no money. No see no lust.
I suggest that you do the same here, erase all the albums that nobody will ever get cause they just exist by their front cover. the rest, the music, you wont get it, never. please wipe out the torrent tracker download function. Thanks

    1. I do agree, Captain Beyond is greatly missed, but you should not count SACD2DVDA out just yet, he still walks amongst us.

The issue of continuation of material via torrent is not just down to the originator but to all those that have downloaded, which is how the system is meant to work, but inconsiderate people just “hit and run” nowdays. It is their fault, not the originators.

The links to torrents were kept on the ‘slim’ chance there may be a seeder or two for those titles, and the links for the earlier sownloads could be there one day and gone the next, just don’t have the time to keep checking.

I have a friend who thinks that blogs like this should be left once finnished with as a port of information. I did delete the DSQA site because i couldn’t stand it any longer, but as and when the time comes, this site will probably stay “as is”, links and all.

      1. I agree with you about the hit and run, unfortunately since the beginning of internet its been like this, i believe mainly because of the free stuff straight from the beginning, which made it all worse, free songs, free albums, free films, free software etcetera… what happens with the “no seed” phenomenon is actually a plain reflection of the world, take and run, me myself I first, and the others may drop dead gorgeous, this is not my concern. “Sharing” platforms” ? No way. “please keep seeding ?”. no thank you and please get lost and die. The three commandments of internet: 1) download as fast as possible 2)save on harddisc or disc 3) erase as fast as possible to save space on the computer. Somehow one obligatory fee for the thing you want to download would have made it (perhaps) better ? Dont you think ? There are some generous souls around too, of course, but they are rare, and the exception, not the rule. As i proposed to you, i also sometimes asked around if i could contribute for the nice music i could download. I think now that some might have taken me for a fool or an idiot. you are right about “the slim chance of one seeder somewhere someday”, and therefore it has indeed a use to keep the tracker function. Lets go and enjoy the sun.

      2. The issues of the internet will, unfortunately, never be dealt with, let alone sorted out. It’s biggest failing was allowing humans to use it. The majority of our race appear to be greedy, tight fisted, mean meglamaniacs whose never ending desire to have what ever is in your pocket, in theirs.
There is actually a part of me who would vote to have the internet terminated, in a desperate attempt to move the human race back to a more easir, plesant way of life, for which i firmly believe is what we were designed for.
As we are at the moment, we are looking forward completely unaware what the combination of AI and the Internet will cook up for human life, but one thing i believe is that for us minions it will not be good.
Thank DOG i won’t be around!
